These integrations allow us to pull real-time facility data, ensuring that our self-storage websites run efficiently and provide customers with the most accurate information.
How Our API Sync Works
Through API connections, Storagely gathers essential data from the FMS, including:
- Unit availability and configurations
- Facility details
- Pricing and discounts
- Tax and fee structures
This data syncs with our database every 20-30 minutes, significantly improving website speed. Unlike live API calls, which are slow and can disrupt the user experience, our syncing process ensures that information is preloaded for faster load times and smoother customer interactions.
Using the Data for a Seamless Rental Process
Once the data is synced, we use it across:
- Location pages โ Displaying available units and pricing in real-time
- Checkout process โ Ensuring customers see the correct rates, fees, and discounts
- Reports โ Providing valuable insights into rental performance
When a customer completes the online rental process, Storagely sends all the relevant detailsโincluding pricing, unit selection, and customer informationโback to the FMS via the API, ensuring a smooth handoff without any manual intervention.
Pricing and Discount Calculations
Storagely does not alter or calculate any pricing, discounts, or fees during checkout. Instead, we pull all rate details directly from the FMS API to maintain accuracy. The only exception is our front-end visualization of discounted rates, which helps drive conversions by clearly showing customers the savings they can get when renting a unit.
