**Internal Process for Value-Based Pricing Deployment**

## Overview

Value-Based Pricing (VBP) requires collaboration between clients and Storagely employees to ensure a smooth and successful deployment. The implementation process is structured into three distinct phases:

1. **Phase 1: **Backend Preparation (Storagely)
2. **Phase 2: **Configuring Tiered Pricing in StorEDGE (Client)
3. **Phase 3: **Staging & Deployment (Storagely & Client)

## Phase 1: Backend Preparation (Storagely)

Before enabling VBP in StorEDGE, our team must configure the Storagely backend to support the feature. This process starts with gathering client input on pricing tiers and associated benefits.

1. **Obtain the Completed VBP/Tiered Pricing Spreadsheet**
   - Ensure the client has provided a spreadsheet detailing the features and benefits for each pricing tier.
   - Verify that all required data is included and formatted correctly in each cell and column.
2. **Update Storagely VBP Settings**
   - Navigate to the **Storagely Settings** page.
   - Locate the **VBP features **and input the data based on the client’s spreadsheet.
   - Double-check that pricing levels and included services align with the client's expectations. Click Save & apply once the details for each tier have been added.

## Phase 2: Configuring Tiered Pricing in StorEDGE (Client)

While Storagely's backend is being updated, the client will also configure tiered pricing within StorEDGE. Be available to assist the client with any questions during their configuration process.



## Phase 3: Staging & Deployment (Storagely & Client)

With the configurations in place in Storagely and StorEDGE, Storagely will activate VBP in a **staging environment** to verify the functionality with the client before going live.

### Action Required

1. **Activate VBP in Staging**
   - Enable Value-Based Pricing in the Storagely test server to activate the new pricing structure on that facility's website.

- Work with the client to confirm that all tiers and pricing settings function as expected on the staging website. 
  1. A link to the test page will need to be provided. 

1. **Conduct Final Testing & Adjustments**
   - Identify and resolve any discrepancies in pricing or feature assignments including brand colors, pricing/promotions, and features.
   - Ensure the client is satisfied with the setup before proceeding to deployment.
2. **Deploy to Live Website**
   - Once the client approves the setup, proceed with launching VBP on the production server to push to the **live website by replicating the same configuration**.
   - Monitor the rollout for any unexpected issues and provide support as needed.

## Conclusion

By following this internal process, we ensure a structured and efficient deployment of Value-Based Pricing. Our team plays a crucial role in preparing the backend, guiding clients through StorEDGE configuration, and overseeing final testing before deployment.

We’re excited to announce the launch of our **Value-Based Pricing (VBP)** feature in StorEDGE! This feature offers a more flexible and strategic approach to pricing, and we’re here to guide you through the implementation process.

### Implementation Overview

The rollout of VBP consists of three key phases:

During this phase, our team will prepare the Storagely backend to support the VBP feature. No action is required from you yet, but we do need your input to define the specific features and benefits for each pricing tier.

**Action Required**:

- Complete the attached **Tiered Pricing Spreadsheet**.
- Identify and list the specific features or benefits for each tier (e.g., pricing levels, included services).
- Refer to the attached [Example Sheet ](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DSkVfVuF-UFIjAoHqelJ7-MvAP6wIpf47f3aAQOBNfM/edit?gid=0#gid=0)for guidance.
  - You can make a copy of this to use as a template
- Once completed, kindly submit the spreadsheet back to us and we will add these to the backend.

After receiving your completed spreadsheet, our team will enter the data into the Storagely backend. You will then need to configure tiered pricing within StorEDGE by grouping units based on key characteristics such as:

- Unit type
- Size
- Price
- Floor

**Important Note**: Units **cannot** be grouped by **Unit Amenities**.

- Follow the instructions in the[ StorEDGE documentation](https://help.storedge.com/hc/en-us/articles/23337955633179-How-do-I-enable-Tiered-Pricing) to configure the tiered pricing.

Once the configuration is complete in Storagely & StorEDGE, we will activate the VBP feature in our staging environment for testing and verification. We will work closely with you to ensure everything functions as expected. After your approval, we will launch the new pricing structure on your live website.

Once these phases are completed and we have your approval, we will fully deploy the VBP feature to your live site.
